The overnight at Tybee Island was fun and relaxing. We walked the beach in the early evening, picked up a pizza, ate in the room, and left the balcony door open to hear the ocean moaning and sighing. I always think of Kate Chopin's personification of the sea in The Awakening when I'm at the beach. Unfortunately, Liberto forgot his breathing mask, which helps him sleep as well as he's capable of, and also helps me to sleep deeply when he's not shaking the room with his screeching snoring. Therefore, he did not sleep well, but somehow, I did anyway.
We returned home about noon and went to work setting up the raised bed in the backyard where my flourishing strawberry plants will continue to grow. It was hot, sweaty, dirty work. We missed the first showing of the movie we want to see this afternoon, so we'll go instead to the 4:15 showing.
